First Lady Melania Trump spent time visiting with a group of young patients at the Bambino Gesu (Baby Jesus) pediatric hospital after she and President Donald Trump met with Pope Francis earlier at the Vatican.
Mrs. Trump also toured the hospital’s intensive care unit, as well as the recreation room, where she painted with children from nine different countries, pausing to snap a series of selfies with them.
The First Lady of the United States was very a chic and demure look as she visited the Vatican to meet the Pope.
Both Ivanka and Melania shrouded their heads with nice black lace mantillas, as a symbol of respect to the Pope. Melania also chose black lace for the rest of her outfit too.
Dolce and Gabbana are very famous for their use of lace so there’s no surprise this includes coats too. Lace isn’t the first material you think of when it comes to outerwear but it certainly makes for an elegant look.
Melania’s exact coat isn’t available yet.
She concluded the visit by praying in the hospital chapel, while also taking a break in front of a Madonna statue situated outside of the hospital for a silent moment of reflection.
Melania also appeared to cross herself while standing in front of the statue; however while the First Lady grew up in the predominantly Catholic country of Slovenia, she was not raised as a Catholic. She married her Presbyterian-born husband in an Episcopal church and has since gone to the services with Trump.
The couple is also sending their son Barron to an Episcopal school in Washington, D.C.
First Lady Melania Trump is very classy and smart. She represented the States well.
