Debbie Wasserman Schultz was fired from the DNC in disgrace. Now she may be involved in more corruption. Her IT manager Imran Awan was arrested for charges of bank fraud. He had smashed several hard drives before the FBI got to him. People are now trying to figure out what was hidden in those hard drives. However, despite all of this, Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to argue that the FBI only arrested Awan because they are racist.
“I had grave concerns about his due process rights being violated. When their investigation was reviewed with me, I was presented with no evidence of anything that they were being investigated for. And so that, in me, gave me great concern that his due process rights were being violated. That there were racial and ethnic profiling concerns that I had,” said Schultz in and interview with the Sun Sentinel.
She went on to attack the idea that he was ‘flea-ing’ to Pakistan. She called the idea “absurd”.
“He is from Pakistan. … He’s an American, a naturalized American citizen. His children are natural-born citizens. His wife is a naturalized American citizen. And I mean when you’re trying to flee, you don’t fill out a form with your employer and go on unpaid leave,” explained Schultz.
