The Black Lives Matter organization has done a great deal of damage to the United States, and accelerated the racial divide that and other tensions that cropped up in the United States under President Barack Obama.
Recently, a Black Lives Matter connected writer named Aisha Harris wrote a very clear hit piece on liberal site Salon.com targeting country music legend Dolly Parton. Thankfully, Charlie Daniels did waste any time hitting back at this smear.
Wrote Aisha Harris in her article titled “Springtime for the Confederacy,” “The same week that a statue of Robert E. Lee led to the death of an innocent woman in Charlottesville, Virginia, I watched him oink and squeal in a race for the fate of the country. Lee, this time, was a piglet—part of Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede … where seven nights a week and at occasional weekend matinees, the South rises again.”
She further slammed what she called a “campy show” and denounced Dolly, who she dismissed as a “well-meaning country superstar” who turned a blind eye to how “the South is built upon the foundation of slavery.” She continued, “Dolly’s Dixie Stampede has been a success not just because people love Dolly Parton, but because the South has always been afforded the chance to rewrite its own history—not just through its own efforts, but through the rest of the country turning a blind eye.”
This angered Charlie, who rebuked the writer and other knee-jerk liberals by tweeting, “Note to activist trying to shut down Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dolly does more good in one day than u will in your whole misguided life.” Dolly fans were thrilled at Charlie’s sharp response. Wrote one Twitter user, “A big AMEN! I have never known anyone, to get anywhere, with stupidity!” Added another, “Amen. Dolly works her butt off. What have these complainers done with their lives?” Are you glad Charlie struck back to defend Dolly like this?
