Liberal politicians everywhere are in trouble. The American people are fed up with the ridiculous hysteria and destructive policies of the Democrat Party. Even politicians in Leftist bastions, like New York, are in trouble.
New York Mayor, Bill de Blasio, has angered citizens in his city with his pro-illegal immigration, anti-Trump stances. Now he’s feeling the backlash. Decorated officer and former NYC Police Chief, Philip Banks, is being urged to run against de Blasio (via NY Daily News).
De Blasio, is the epitome of a corrupt Democrat politician. He puts the needs and interests of his city last. He’s in it for himself and his donors. Under de Blasio, New York is sliding into crime and poverty.
New Yorkers are looking for someone who will fight for them and put American citizens–not illegal immigrants–first. A hardened cop with a long history of toughness on crime may be just what New York needs.
Philip Banks served as the Chief of the New York Police Department throughout most of 2014. His departure in October 2014 ended a 28-year career with what is widely considered one of the greatest police departments in the world.
New York is a tough city; Democrat policies keep it crime-ridden. As a result, New York cops are some of the most hardened. During his nearly three decades in uniform, Banks became acquainted with the worst the streets have to offer.
Since leaving the NYPD, Banks has worked in the private sector. He currently runs the security firm, CitySafe Partners. It’s certainly admirable to see someone go from life-long public sector work to succeed in the free market.
Banks is seriously considering the bid for mayor. He’s met with financial backers who feel the former police chief would be better than the current socialist mayor on combating crime, poverty, and other challenges New Yorkers face.
One source said: “Members of the community have urged him to run because they feel he would be the best candidate to handle these issues, whether it’s crime, education or homelessness.” No police officials have run for mayor of New York in recent memory. But Banks’ background would certainly help him bring many strengths to the table.
For one, Banks would offer crime-fighting experience in a city desperate for law and order. He knows the ins and outs of policing. Police officers would be free to do their job without spineless administrators breathing down their necks. Also, Banks has seen up-close what liberal policies and race-baiting do to a community. He would be in a better position to fight politically correct nonsense in his town.
People are tired of de Blasio and Democrat governments in general. New Yorkers fondly remember the days of Trump-ally Rudy Giuliani, who cleaned up New Yorks’ streets, strengthened its economy, and provided bold leadership post-9/11.
Mayor de Blasio is more concerned with letting illegals roam free than he is in solving his city’s problems. He’s finished. Bill de Blasio won’t be elected to office ever again.
